Tips and Hints
You may be wondering how to improve your day-to-day work in CitiDirect and use available functions more effectively?
CitiDirect® is easier than you think.
Is the view of transaction lists (batches) in Payments and Inquiries not intuitive?
By a right-click on the header of any column you get access to the function that enables you to permanently hide unnecessary columns, rearrange them and change their names.
You may speed up CitiDirect.
By default, Oracle Java can only use 32 MB of RAM. You may change this to 64 MB in default settings and increase this volume to 256 MB, if needed.
This would mostly double the speed of the application on a customer’s computer. How to do this?
Go to Control Panel and select Java and Java tab.
Click on View and in the Runtime Parameters column enter: -Xms64m –Xmx256m
The value in the column may be increased by double-clicking on it and, then, on OK, to accept.
Layout of the left drop-down menu is not convenient?
Use PREFERENCES to rebuild the whole menu in a new layout with your own names of individual components.
American data format is troublesome (month/day/year)?
You may simply change it to something more convenient. Go to PREFERENCES in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Do you download PDF statements through CitiDirect® every day?
We may send statements to your email box. You just need to tell your RM that you want to receive them by email.
Do you often use export or generate reports?
The AFRD function enables you to arrange that a given report or export will be executed automatically in your preferred times. The system will prepare the document without your involvement and will send it to your email box.
You do not need to send an application to the bank every time you want to change a user’s entitlements.
We may assign ADMINISTRATOR’S RIGHTS to some user you will select. As a result, they will be able to modify entitlements of other users or event payment authorization schemes without the Bank’s participation in the process.
Transfer to a person who has no account?
...we can do this
You may use the ELECTRONIC POSTAL ORDER to send cash. The beneficiary will receive it at a post office or directly from a postman.
When did the transfer reach the bank? Who created and accepted it?
By highlighting a transfer and clicking on Other Options and VIEW TRANSACTION HISTORY you will find out who and on whose behalf created, approved and sent the transfer to the Bank.
If you are interested in any hints, please contact our personnel who will help you to use any functions.
